Eastern Washington Wildfire Relief: $250 Storage Credit for Affected Families & Businesses

Wildfires have changed life for many families, businesses, and communities across Eastern Washington, including the Spokane area and surrounding communities. For those dealing with evacuations, damaged property, or the difficult work of recovery, even finding a safe place to store belongings can become one more challenge.

At Get Simple Box, we believe people matter more than things. But sometimes having a safe, secure place for your things can make it a little easier to focus on the people and work that matter most.

That’s why we’re offering up to a $250 Wildfire Relief Storage Credit to help those affected by the Eastern Washington wildfires.

This guide breaks down what actually makes a storage company easy to work with, how common options like PODS®, mini storage, and national container brands compare, and what to look for if you want storage that fits your life instead of disrupting it.

How the Wildfire Relief Program Works

If you’ve been affected by the fires, simply mention the Wildfire Relief Program when you contact Get Simple Box.

Our team will ask you to complete a brief form with some basic information about your situation. We want this process to be as simple and non-intrusive as possible.

The form isn’t just about determining whether you qualify for the $250 credit. It also helps our Care Team understand what you’re dealing with and consider whether there are other ways Get Simple Box may be able to help.

The $250 credit is one way we’re trying to help. We want to look at each situation individually and do what we can.

How Storage Containers Can Help During Fire Recovery

Our mission is to help people move and store their things so they can focus on the things that matter most and the work they do best.

After a wildfire, that can mean something as simple as having a safe place to put belongings while a home is being cleaned or repaired. It can also mean creating a secure staging area for restoration work or protecting equipment and inventory for a business.

Storage containers can help with:

  • Protecting furniture and personal belongings during cleanup and repairs
  • Storing tools and equipment needed for recovery
  • Protecting business inventory or equipment
  • Creating a secure staging area for restoration projects
  • Keeping belongings close to home while repairs or rebuilding take place

Sometimes, before you can focus on what comes next, you need somewhere to put what you have now.

We’ve Helped With Wildfire Relief Before

This isn’t the first time we’ve put our containers to work during a wildfire.

In 2025, Get Simple Box donated four 40-foot shipping containers to a wildfire relief hub operated by Harvest Fellowship in Southern California. The containers were used to receive, organize, store, and distribute supplies to communities affected by the fires.

We believe businesses have an opportunity to use what they have to serve their communities, especially when people are facing circumstances they never expected.

Supporting Churches, Nonprofits & Emergency Response Organizations

Families and businesses aren’t the only ones who need storage during a disaster.

Churches, nonprofits, emergency response organizations, restoration teams, and other groups often need secure space for supplies, equipment, donations, and materials.

Get Simple Box has provided containers to organizations including Samaritan’s Purse and churches involved in relief efforts. We’ve also provided containers to organizations involved in wildfire response.

If you’re a church, nonprofit, emergency response organization, or other group helping with wildfire response or recovery, please contact us directly. We’ll do our best to help however we can.

A Personal Connection to Wildfire Response

This effort hits close to home for our team.

Growing up, Get Simple Box CEO Ross Black watched his father serve on wildfire operations as a trap tree logger. Fire seasons brought a mixture of pride in his father’s work and concern for his safety.

Today, one of our Ellensburg team members has a son serving with the National Guard who has been deployed to help fight these fires.

These aren’t just headlines to us. They affect people we know and care about.

People Matter More Than Things

We’ve spent almost 30 years helping people move and store their belongings. We know that things aren’t the most important part of life.

But we also know that when someone is dealing with a fire, evacuation, property damage, or the enormous task of rebuilding, having a safe and secure place for those belongings can make a real difference.

We want to give the gift of storage to people who need it right now.

Our prayer is that these containers can help take one small burden off someone’s shoulders so they can focus on their family, their recovery, and the work ahead.
