One-Trip Shipping Containers
A one-trip shipping container is a new container manufactured overseas, typically loaded with cargo, shipped to North America, and then sold after making essentially one ocean voyage. Because the container has had very little use, one-trip containers are generally in new or like-new condition. They may have minor scratches, dents, or handling marks from being moved by forklifts, trucks, trailers, and other equipment.

Wind and Water Tight (WWT) Containers
Wind and Water Tight (WWT) generally means a used container is sufficiently sealed to keep out wind and water under normal conditions.. WWT is commonly considered a basic condition for a container intended for dry storage. It does not necessarily mean the container is in excellent cosmetic or structural condition, and WWT should not automatically be interpreted as cargo worthy. At Simple Box, we do not offer Wind and Water Tight containers as a standalone grade.
As-Is Containers
An As-Is container may have anything from cosmetic damage to significant rust, dents, holes, or structural issues. Because repair costs can vary substantially, buyers should carefully inspect an As-Is container before purchasing. Simple Box does not stock As-Is containers because we want our customers to receive containers that meet a higher standard.
Rule of thumb: if the container will hold anything you can’t afford to have exposed to moisture, don’t go below Cargo-Worthy.
