If you have been following any of our recent articles, you are probably aware that you are able to purchase and rent containers, but what if we told you there is a third option? That’s right, there is an option that combines the best of both worlds (renting and buying).
You have probably heard of rent-to-own from a housing perspective, but this option also exists for storage containers.
So if you find yourself caught in between deciding on renting or buying, you may want to settle on the happy medium.
We realize you may have some questions about this option, so we’ve taken the liberty of asking AND answering some for you:
What are some benefits to rent-to-own containers?
Firstly, there is no long term commitment, as this program takes 24 months! Secondly, you’re not wasting money on rent! Your monthly payment is comparable to what you would pay a local self storage facility for renting one of their units! Once you’ve made all your payments, the container is yours to keep forever! Lastly, there is no credit check requirement, so if you’re worried about where your credit score leaves you, you’ll be just fine!
What types of containers are available for rent to own?
If you live in an area serviced by Get Simple Box (Arizona, Oregon and Washington), you will be supplied with a new, standard 20 foot container for your rent to own program. Some other container companies may provide you with used containers, but you will have to call and ask!
How does a rent to own container work?
Firstly, you will choose the container that you want. From here, we will calculate the monthly installment fee needed to get things started! For reference, your first payment will cover the first installment, last installment and delivery fee.
How long will it take for me to own the box?
After 22 equal monthly payments, the box will be all yours!
Where can rent to own containers be delivered?
When working with Get Simple Box, ground transportation will be provided to Arizona, Oregon and Washington states. It is important to note that the containers must be placed where a truck has full unrestricted access and plenty of room.
